Man followed, shot at on McColl St.

Bennettsville police are investigating an attempted murder that allegedly happened early Wednesday morning on McColl Street.
The victim, a 25-year-old man, told police that someone driving a gray Dodge Charger fired several shots at him sometime around 1:05 a.m. He was not hit and did not require medical attention.
He said he had been walking in the parking lot of the Bennettsville Visitor Center, on his way to his home on McColl Street, when he noticed two vehicles following him.
One was a white car and the other was the gray Dodge Charger. The victim said that, once he reached McColl Street, the white car attempted to block the road while someone inside the Charger began shooting at him.
He identified a possible suspect, and the incident is under investigation.
