The Marlboro County Sheriff’s Office arrested three Bennettsville men on Monday (Oct. 26) following an ongoing narcotics investigation in the Bennettsville area of Marlboro County.
According to Lt. Trevor Murphy, the Marlboro County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Division began this investigation after receiving numerous complaints of heightened drug activity in the Ayers and Marshall Streets areas of Bennettsville.
As a result of this investigation, three persons with prior convictions for distribution were arrested for distribution of cocaine base (crack); second offense. The three arrested were
Travis Daquan Campbell, 27; Demetrius Keon McCall, 30; and Jamie Drayton, 36.
Drayton was in possession of cocaine base (crack) the time of his arrest and will receive an additional charge.
All three are being held at the Marlboro County Detention Center and will receive a bond hearing on Tuesday.
Murphy said more arrests are expected.
