Northeastern Technical College (NETC) will be hosting their first Esports summer camp for high school (rising 9th graders) through current college students, July 12-15 at NETC’s Cheraw Campus. The free camp will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. each day, with lunch included for all campers.
The camp led by Tyler Nolan, NETC’s coach and also a former professional Esports player, has been designed to sharpen student’s skills and allow students to learn more about Esports in general.
Some topics for the camp will include: Hand-Eye Coordination, Strategy Sessions, Teamwork, Sportsmanship, Sports Psychology in Esports, Sportscasting and Sports Journalism, game play and more.
During the camp, Covid-19 precautions will be in place, and vaccinations for participants are encouraged. The camp is limited to 40 participants and registration will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis.
