City council voted unanimously to give Legends Sports Bar a conditional reinstatement Thursday afternoon.
The conditions were:
1. That the music and other noise must not be heard by someone standing on the sidewalk in front of the club

Cheraw Highway named for the late Jimmy McLeod, Sr.
The late James S. "Jimmy" McLeod, Sr. was remembered Friday morning, as a highway was named in his memory.  
A ceremony was held on the steps of Shiloh Baptist Church in Bennettsville, officially naming the Cheraw Highway from West Main Street to the Chesterfield County line as the "James S. 'Jimmy' McLeod, Sr. Memorial Highway".

The Wallace community turned out in force on Monday, August 4, to see the ceremonial start of the construction of a new Wallace Elementary/Middle School.
