A new medical facility is coming soon to Marlboro County. The Scotland Health Care System Board of Trustees developed and approved a plan to construct a new medical office building on Cheraw Highway in Bennettsville to house expanded primary care and specialty satellite space to better serve the needs of the community.

Wallace School construction budget increased to add classrooms, skylights

The price tag for the new Wallace Elementary/Middle School went up by $784,574 as a result of action taken Monday by the school board.

The board unanimously approved a revised budget for the project in the amount of $22,840,606, which reflects the addition of four classrooms and skylights.
