Marlboro County has confirmed coronavirus case

COLUMBIA  — The South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control (DHEC) is investigating 44 additional cases of the COVID-19 novel coronavirus. This brings the total number statewide to 342 cases in 36 counties*.
A coronavirus case was announced in Marlboro County Tuesday.

South Carolina’s schools will remain closed for the month of April

COLUMBIA – Governor Henry McMaster and South Carolina Superintendent of Education Molly Spearman today (March  released the following joint statement announcing that South Carolina’s schools will remain closed for the duration of the month of April:

SCDOR extends Income Tax deadline to align with IRS and temporarily allows curbside sale of beer and wine by restaurants

In response to the challenges of COVID-19 and in accordance with Executive Order 2020-12, the South Carolina Department of Revenue (SCDOR) is moving the due date for Income Tax returns and payments originally due April 15, 2020 to July 15, 2020 and is temporarily allowing retailers who meet certain requirements to sell sealed containers of beer and wine for curbside/drive-thru pickup for off-premises consumption.
