City okays incentives for Carolina Bank construction in downtown Bennettsville
Action taken Tuesday by Bennettsville City Council paves the way for a million dollar construction project that will bring a new building and a public green space to the downtown area.

Search is on for missing man
Bennettsville police continue to investigate the disappearance of a man who has been missing for almost a week.
Johnny Ray Adams, 64, of 214 South Parsonage Street, Apartment F, was last seen Thursday night, June 15. He had been in McColl that evening but was brought back to his home by a family member and has not been seen or heard from since.

Employees of Glenn Waterproofing of Charlotte remove some of the faulty seal material in the Lake Paul Wallace spillway.  The work is expected to be finished within a week, allowing the lake to be refilled.
