Playoff frustration for the Bulldogs
After steamrolling into the playoffs with a five-game winning streak, hopes were high for the Marlboro County High baseball team to make a deep run in the postseason.
Instead, they had a brief and frustrating stay.  The Bulldogs fell hard to North Myrtle Beach in their opening game Friday and were eliminated by Midland Valley on Monday.

Bulldogs wrap up regular season with blowout of Cheraw
Marlboro County High put the wraps on the regular season in fine style Tuesday night, smashing Cheraw, 10-0 at Gliarmis Field.
For the Bulldogs, it was their fifth consecutive victory and completed the best regular season in school history based on winning percentage.  The team's 14-5 overall record gives the team a .737 percentage.

The Marlboro County High baseball team is heating up just in time for the postseason.
After defeating Dreher High School 8-7 Wednesday evening, the Bulldogs have won three straight, including a pair of key region games.
