The Blenheim Fire Department held its annual Christmas Party on Dec. 18 at Shuler’s Barbecue in Latta.

Department officials said it was one of their busiest years.

They added they would like to thank those who have and continue to support Blenheim Volunteer Fire District. “We had a great year and look forward to continuing to serve our community in 2022,” officials said.

Blenheim FD responded to 196 calls in 2021.

The Fire Fighter of the Year Award was given to Barney Bethea.

The Life Saving Award was given to Kobe Green, Sebe “Peanut” Tucker, and Johnny Sheppard.

The Most Calls Award was given to Richard Hayes.

The Safe Driver Award was given to Terry Weichel.

Service awards were given out to Chief David Rogers, 45 years; Assistant Chief James Allison, 30 years; Matt Burr, 20 years; Charles Bailey III, 10 years; and Kobe Green, Cyheim McRae, and Trisha McCallum, five years.
