— A free weekly T’ai Chi Chih class on the patio of Nomad Cafe at 9:30 a.m. The class length is 45 to 60 minutes.

— An In It to Win It vaccination event will be held at the Bennettsville Community Center from 2-5 p.m. It will be for all ages five and older. Parents and guardians, this will be an opportunity to get children vaccinated during spring break. There will be $50 Visa gift cards for those getting first or second dose vaccinations or for those who would like to have their name placed in a drawing for a laptop computer or a sound bar. — The Marlboro County Museum will have Morning at the Museum from 10 a.m.-noon. It is a time of fellowship and refreshments.

— The Marlboro County office of the Pee Dee Coalition Against Domestic and Sexual Assault will have the third Niah’s Lemonade Stand at 2 p.m. at the PDC Marlboro office on Parsonage Street. The lemonade is free. Donations will be accepted.

— A Spring Community Drive-Thru event hosted by Duke Energy and CareSouth Carolina will be from 4-6 p.m. at CareSouth Carolina, 3080 Highway 15-401 E. in McColl. Duke Energy will be on hand to answer billing questions and CareSouth Carolina will provide free COVID-19 home tests and dental care supplies. The first 150 cars will receive a free box of nonperishable food. Other event partners such as the Harvest Hope Food Bank, Man2Man, McColl Fire Department and others.

— The City of Bennettsville Tourism, Parks, and Recreation will have Food Truck Friday from 4-8 p.m. in downtown Bennettsville in the Main Street parking between Main and Clyde Streets. There will be different food trucks.

— A Community Bash will be presented by True Gospel House of Deliverance from 1-5 p.m. at the Bennettsville campus of Northeastern Technical College. It will feature Academy of Movement2, vaccinations by CareSouth Carolina, food trucks, vendors, a live DJ, and a car, truck, and motorcycle show.

—“Painting Through Your Grief” will be from 9:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. for youth ages 12 and up at Berea Convention Center, 1062 Highway 38 South, Bennettsville. — The Humane Society of Marlboro County will have a kitten shower from noon-4 p.m. to collect items needed for the upcoming kitten season. The registry list can be found at www.humanesocietyofmarlboro.org.

— The Cheraw Arts Commission will present “The Carnival of the Animals” concert at the Theatre on the Green in Cheraw at 11 a.m. The musical suite by composer Camille Saint-Saens will be performed by The Upton Trio featuring piano, cello and violin. This zoological fantasy features 14 movements representing a lion, tortoises, elephants, kangaroos and more. Attendees are encouraged to create and bring “Animal Art” to the concert for display at the Theatre. There will be free face painting and more. “Animal costumes” are welcomed. — The Life Blooms Eternal, a signature Memorial event for Agape Care Hospice, will be from 2-4 p.m. at the Berea Convention Center, 1062 Highway 38 South, Bennettsville. This event features a garden of beautifully designed floral umbrellas inspired by the 9/11 umbrella display,

an art installation that used hand-painted umbrellas to represent the lives lost in the Twin Towers. The names of deceased loved ones will be put on a memorial tree. The memorial service begins at 3 p.m.

— The McColl Mayfest will be from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. with a festival on Main Street with vendors, live entertainment, bounce houses, games, silent auction, train rides, Hula Hoop contest, cupcake walk, car show, DJ, and more. The Pizazz Band will perform from 7 p.m.-10 p.m. The cost is $5 and children under eight are free.
