WALLACE – A Wallace man turned himself in on April 2 to Marlboro County Sheriff’s Office after a shooting incident on March 31.

Nyshawn Jermaine Miles, 19, of Wallace was charged with two counts of attempted murder, two counts of child endangerment and possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime. Miles was given a $ 85,000 surety bond.

Deputies responded to a residence on Pegues Circle in the Wallace area about a shooting incident before midnight on March 31.

Deputies and Investigators met and spoke with the victim at McLeod Hospital in Cheraw, who was being treated for a gunshot wound. Investigators learned some type of verbal altercation at the residence on Pegues Circle led to a physical altercation in which Miles retrieved a firearm and shot at multiple persons at the residence.

Miles’ minor children were also present in the home during the time of the shooting.
