The 2022 Women’s History Program will have a theme of “Providing Healing, Promoting Hope.”

The event will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at the Marlboro School Community Center.

Luncheon tickets are $25 for adults and $10 for 12 and under.

Virginia Sanders, chairman of the Women’s History program, said far too long, women have had to speak louder to get their voices heard.

“In planning this program, we want to display hope and healing,” she said.

Evangelist Winona Crosland Hatcher will be the mistress of ceremony.

Sen. Mia McLeod will be the keynote speaker.

Other speakers include Dr. Kandace R. Bethea, superintendent of Marion County School District; Melissa Watson, president of the S.C. Democratic Women’s Council; and Rep. Patricia Henegan.

Sanders said MSCC is celebrating the generation of women’s voices who have inspired us, taught us, and moved us to change for the better.

Trailblazers who will be honored during the program include Gladys Bridges, Mabel Graham, Margaret McLeod, and Lois Mae Woods.
