HARTSVILLE — The new year brings new opportunities for employment at Neptune Island Waterpark. Neptune Island is a six-acre, family-friendly waterpark adventure located in Hartsville.

Open seasonally from mid-May through Labor Day, the attraction has welcomed over 274,000 visitors in its first three seasons of operation.

For the 2022 season, Neptune Island is seeking to hire around 240 seasonal staff members. The Neptune Island management team is currently recruiting new and returning crew members to join their team in preparation for the upcoming season.

“Neptune Island is proud to be the largest employer of youth in the Pee Dee area,” said Caleb Gaddy, Neptune Island Aquatics and Personnel manager. “For many of these young adults, this is a first job opportunity that affords them real-life work experience to build a foundation for their future. We are looking for hard-working and driven individuals who are searching for an opportunity to gain work experience and have a fun summer break.”

Starting at $9.60 per hour, Neptune Island Waterpark employs individuals beginning at age fifteen for their Lifeguard positions.

All other positions, including cabana hosts, admissions and guest services, park services, patio attendants, and food and beverage staff, have a minimum age requirement of sixteen years or older based upon job duties.

Neptune Island will host a job fair for interested applicants to meet with members of the management team, interview, and apply for available seasonal positions.

The job fair will be held from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. on Saturday, March 19 at The Coach T.B. Thomas Sports Center, 701 W. Washington Street in Hartsville. Weekly open interviews will also be held at Neptune Island Waterpark, 1109 14th St, Hartsville, SC 29550) Tuesdays – Thursdays from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m.
