— The Marlboro County High School Mighty Marching Bulldog Band will have “Walk To The Rhythms” from 9-11 a.m. It is a chance for the community to walk to the sounds of music at McAlpine Stadium while getting an inside look at the band as they prepare for the 2022 marching season.

Sat., Aug. 6

— The Marlboro County Farmers Market, on Broad Street in Bennettsville, is open from 8 a.m.-1 p.m.

— The McDuffie Family will have a Back 2 School bookbag giveaway from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at Smith Park, 201 Cottingham Blvd. in Bennettsville. There will be free bookbags with supplies, and snacks and drinks. Children must be present with their parents.

— The Kids Summer Fest will be held from noon to 4 p.m. on Aug. 6 at Carroll Field, 215 N. Marlboro St. in Bennettsville. There will be a DJ, food trucks, water slides/bounce houses, cornhole, jumbo Jenga, jumbo Connect Four and other games, including bingo for adults. — The Marlboro County Farmers Market, on Broad Street in Bennettsville, is open from 8 a.m.-6 p.m. — Agape Hospice has a community grief support meeting at 10 a.m. in the Kinney Room at the Marian Wright Edelman Public Library. It is open to anyone trying to adjust to a new way of life due to the death of a loved one. For information, call Doris B. — The Marlboro County Farmers Market, on Broad Street in Bennettsville, is open from 8 a.m.-1 p.m.

— The Curry Family Reunion will be handing out backpacks filled with school supplies and conducting a health fair from 9 a.m.-11 a.m. in the parking lot of Marlboro County EMS (across from Wells-Fargo). The Health Fair will have a speaker, free blood pressure checks, health screenings, and give out a limited supply (one box per family) of free Covid at-home test kits.

Sat., Aug. 27

— The Marlboro County Farmers Market, on Broad Street in Bennettsville, is open from 8 a.m.-1 p.m.

— The Lake Paul Wallace Authority will present Beach Blast from noon-10 p.m. at the lake. The boat landing will open at 10 a.m. and is limited to 18 boats. Coolers allowed but no glass bottles. Identification required. Admission is $5. Children 12 and under are free. Music, water slides, and vendors will be available at 2 p.m. A concert by Silk Groove Revue will take place from 7-9 p.m.

Mon., Sept. 26
